This emphasizes the importance of "Experience" of the content creator and practical knowledge in the subject matter over others.
It’s simply like, if website of ESPN talks about a game of soccer then it would be much more relevant for you than me talking about a game of soccer. Not that I don’t know soccer, but ESPN’s opinion is obviously expected to be more valid in the subject matter, compared with mine.
It may seem, like with this update Google is discouraging those who are relatively new to the industry. But if you look at it from a different point of view, it also means that Google is pushing you to raise your bar and build some required credentials which would be good for the brand and content creator off course.
Anyways, this is not a new update from Google. Google had already brought E-A-T (Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) Framework during its earlier updates and had been encouraging content writers to have the required Expertise to ascertain authority and trust worthiness of the content. This one is just the upgraded one where now Google wants you to display your experience to evaluate the quality of content on websites.
